12 teams set for Premier League Play-Offs

12 teams will battle for three places in the 2023-24 Premier League 3 season as the Premier League play-offs are contested on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 April.

The University of Worcester Arena will play host to a nail-biting weekend of action as the three bottom sides from this season’s third division go head-to-head with nine regional winners.

Trafford, Leyton and TFC Leicester, who came 8th, 9th and 10th respectively, will be out to maintain their Premier League 3 status.

The Play-Offs are familiar territory for Trafford, who won promotion after a perfect weekend of competition only last season.

The nine regional winners with their sights firmly fixed on reaching the Premier League are:

  • Hatfield Hawks – East regional winner
  • Bridgford – East Midlands regional winner
  • Hyde Park – London & South East regional winner
  • Seatonians NC – North East regional winner
  • Blackpool NC – North West regional winner
  • Shooting Stars – South regional winner
  • Team Jets – South West regional winner
  • Barr Beacon NC – West Midlands regional winner
  • Hi-Tech – Yorkshire & Humberside regional winner

After not managing to complete the step up last season, Hatfield Hawks and Hi-Tech have a second bite of the cherry.

Team Jets will be hoping former Vitality Roses captain and Commonwealth Games gold medallist Serena Kersten (née Guthrie) can help them navigate their way back to the Premier League as their Head Coach.

Meanwhile, Blackpool NC, who are led by Manchester Thunder Assistant Coach Gabrielle Towell, will be determined to make the most of their opportunity after they missed out on reaching the Play-Offs in the last game of the season in 2021-22.

The action gets underway from 10:30am on Saturday 22 April at the University of Worcester and will continue across the weekend.
