36 players have been selected for the Roses Academy programme in 2021-22.

Over 150 athletes from all over the country attended positional days led by Vitality Netball Superleague coaches in August where they had the opportunity to learn and develop specifically around their main positions.

A final selection weekend then took place on 18-19 September at Loughborough University with all the athletes in contention for a place in the Roses Academy.

Discussing the athletes selected, Roses Academy Head Coach Sheonah Forbes said: “I was very impressed by the energy, attitude and skillsets of all the athletes invited to our positional days and final selection weekend.

“It’s fantastic to have such a growing pool of up-and-coming talent in England, but it does make our job as selectors extremely difficult.

“I’m excited to work with the selected group of athletes, as well as their club coaches, and seeing them develop over the coming 12 months.”

A huge thank you to all the Vitality Netball Superleague coaches who supported the positional days and congratulations to all athletes selected.
