England Netball’s volunteers are set to be recognised in an exciting new reward programme launched today.
“Volunteer of the Moment” (VotM) recognises and rewards our volunteers who have gone above and beyond and been a real netball star.
Running alongside our well-established regional and national Goalden Globe awards and the Pass on Your Passion (PoYP) scheme, Volunteer of the Moment instantly recognises any netball volunteer who has made a significant contribution to the development of netball.
Winning volunteers receive an ‘I Make the Game’ T-shirt and lanyard and will be featured on a dedicated page on the England Netball website.
Awarded by England Netball staff, regional board and county committee members, Volunteer of the Moment recognises contributions that can range from a one-off occasion at an event or training session through to an ongoing commitment to netball volunteering over a longer period of time.
Launching Volunteer of the Moment, Philippa Hicks National Manager Coaching and Officiating for England Netball said: “Volunteers are the backbone of netball and as we build up to the World Cup in 2019, England Netball is looking to support volunteers and thank them for the fantastic work they do. We really couldn’t do it without them.”
The first recipient of a Volunteer of the Moment award is Jo Randall, who has been recognised for her work in co-ordinating the activities of her fellow volunteers at major England Netball events and international matches.
