The England Roses are gearing up to face Jamaica in the first game of the three-match Sunshine Series in Kingston.
The first match will see the world number two play the world number four on Friday 12th October at 1am (UK time). The second game of the series takes place on Sunday 14th October at 12am, followed by the Series finale on Tuesday 16th October at 12:30am.
England’s most recent meeting with the Jamaica squad was on the Gold Coast as the Roses made history becoming Commonwealth Games champions.
A number of the Roses’ rising stars have been selected to compete in the highly anticipated Sunshine Series, including young defenders Razia Quashie and Summer Artman, as well as attacker George Fisher.
This is the first senior tour for both Razia Quashie and George Fisher.
George said: “This is completely new for me, I’ve not been on a senior tour before, similar to Razia and it’s very exciting for the both of us.
“I was really excited when I got picked for the series, I didn’t expect it at all so it was really cool. I’ve never been to Jamaica so I just think it will be a great experience. I’m sure as a whole we will all pull together and do really well.”
When asked how she felt after finding out she’d be selected for the squad heading to the Sunshine Series, Razia said: “I actually didn’t believe it when I saw my name. When I got the email and saw my name I was shocked and excited.
“I’m looking forward to learning from Ama particularly during this series, working with her on combinations will be really good. It will be great to learn how to play netball in different countries too, with different climates and crowds and a completely different surrounding from what I’m used to.”

Summer added: “I was really pleased when I found out I’d been selected for the Jamaica series, it’s been a while since I’ve been in the senior selection team so I was really pleased to see my name on the list and I’m really looking forward to the experiences that I’m going to gain.”
