Premier League 2018/19 in focus: Cumberland

After a week off, all of the teams will take to court this weekend for Round 15 of the 2018-19 Premier League.

Before the action returns, we shine a spotlight on Cumberland’s recent form and two of their standout players…

Cumberland – Premier League 2

  • Round 11: Cumberland 70-55 Oaksway
  • Round 12: The Downs 52-56 Cumberland
  • Round 13: Cumberland 45-61 Hucclecote
  • Round 14: Essex Open 35-55 Cumberland

Cumberland started the new year with a successful January securing two wins from two matches. The team had a strong start against Oaksway with a solid 15 goal win but needed to pull out a gutsy performance against The Downs to turn around a six-goal deficit to win by four in the second half. Both matches required outstanding team performances, focusing on delivering defensive pressure throughout the court and keeping calm under pressure in attack. Overall the results mean that Cumberland have maintained their second-place position on the Premier League 2 table.
