Liz Nicholl CBE has been named as the new President of the International Netball Federation (INF), following nine years as the CEO of UK Sport.
The Honourable Molly Rhone OJ CD will step down as President of the INF at the end of the Vitality Netball World Cup on 21 July, when Liz Nicholl will then resume the role.
England Netball nominated Liz Nicholl, who is a former international player and held the position of CEO at England Netball for 16 years before joining UK Sport, for the Presidency.
Joanna Adams, CEO of England Netball, said: “We are so pleased to see Liz named President of the INF, she is an amazing advocate for our sport and will no doubt continue to build on the tremendous success netball has seen so far.
“Molly has done phenomenal work during her time as President and will be missed, but I’m pleased to see that she will be leaving the role in safe hands.”
