Over the last week, people have been using social media as a tool to get their netball fix.
The Netball Family have found innovative ways to stay connected during this time through shooting challenges, home workout tips and sharing positive stories online.
We have pulled together the best bits shared on social media from the last seven days.
Netball Family celebrates Commonwealth Games anniversary
April 15 2020 marked the two-year anniversary of the Vitality Roses’ famous Commonwealth Games victory in the Gold Coast.
Exactly 730 days since Helen Housby’s last-minute winner over Australia, the Netball Family came together once again to celebrate the ground-breaking achievement.
Netball Twitter was inundated with posts from fans and players commemorating the gold medal win. In fact, the squad and some staff came together over video call to reminisce about the famed event. You can watch their catch-up in full here.

Drakeford-Lewis’ netball drills prove popular
Thousands watched and hundreds got involved as Vitality Rose Sophie Drakeford-Lewis demonstrated how to #TakeNetballHome with Gilbert.
The 2019 Vitality Netball Superleague Young Player of the Year showcased how she keeps fit and improves her netball skills all from the comfort of her back garden.
The exercises – designed to improve a player’s ball-handling skills, agility and core strength – inspired plenty to have a go themselves including Laurel Park Netball Club.

Bee@Home with Jess Thirlby
This week marked the launch of the Bee@Home programme for our netball-mad U11s to get stuck into whilst at home.
A host of resources from colouring in sheets to garden games are available to keep children across the country busy. In fact, one lucky Bee has a chance of winning their own Beebook by colouring in their own Beeliefs rainbow which you can download here.
There will also be a host of Bee@Home challenge videos that your U11s and the rest of the family can take part in. The first challenge video comes from Vitality Roses Head Coach Jess Thirlby!
Netball community does its bit
Over the last few weeks, the Netball Family have taken great steps to help those who need it the most due to the effects of the Coronavirus.
These selfless efforts also extend to those outside of the netball community with plenty of teams and individuals doing their bit for areas of society struggling to cope with the pandemic.
The ever-supportive Netball Family have raised money with a plethora of different fundraising activities including Sussex Netball who ran a cumulative total of 1,400km over ten days. You can find out more about the fantastic work by clicking here.
Make sure to return next week to see a comprehensive round-up of the most exciting netball content from the last week!
