After England’s triumphant moment at the Gold Coast, the team scooped Team of the Year at the Sunday Times Sportswomen of the Year Awards, the BT Sport Awards and the Sports Journalists’ Association Awards.
They also came out on top in a public vote against football, cricket, golf and boxing to win Greatest Sporting Moment of the Year, alongside Team of the Year, at the 65th BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards.
Agbeze was also awarded The Royal Navy Sportswoman of the Year Award, ahead of fellow nominees Dina Asher-Smith and Kare Adenegan, at the 2019 British Ethnic Diversity Sports Awards in April.
She was deservedly inducted into the England Netball Hall of Fame in September 2018 in testament to her contribution to netball in England.
