Over the last 18 months at England Netball, Sarah has provided coaches in the Performance Pathway with invaluable training and support, developing their coaching practice and behaviours. In addition, Sarah continues to work closely with coaches at a Vitality Netball Superleague level.

Upon hearing about her nomination, Sarah commented: “I’m overwhelmed but thrilled to have been named a finalist in this year’s awards. We’ve been working hard over the last year to offer a broad range of support for coaches so to receive some recognition for this work is fantastic.”

Prior to joining the Netball Family, Sarah plied her trade at The FA for more than 11 years. She is a UEFA A Licence Coach and an FA Tutor, plus she is currently the first team coach at Derby County FC Women.

In addition to her busy schedule, Sarah still manages to enjoy playing netball too.

Sara Symington, Performance Director at England Netball, added: “Sarah has made a huge mark at England Netball since joining 18 months ago. She has driven the bespoke Coach Development Program and worked creatively through the Roses Academy with more exciting projects in the pipeline.

“She brings a huge wealth of experience and curiosity in the sector and has a great track record of developing coaches. I am delighted to hear about this nomination and I would like to offer a huge congratulations to Sarah and all the other nominees.”

Everyone at England Netball would like to congratulate Sarah on her nomination and wish her the best of luck for the awards in December.
