Lucia Gomez's entry into the Gilbert design a ball competition
As proud partners of England Netball, Gilbert continue to support members and during the most recent lockdown, they gave them a creative challenge for a chance to win 15 of their own personalised netballs.
With no limit on colours and patterns, the Netball Family showed they have skills on and off the court as over 200 unique designs were sent in.
After a lot of deliberation by a panel made up of England Netball and Gilbert representatives, 19-year-old Lucia Gomez-Darder from CD Phoenix Netball Club has been selected as the winner.
The panel said: “Thank you to everyone who entered the competition – we were excited to receive over 200 amazing entries. With so many creative designs, it was difficult to choose just one winner!
“Lucia did a fantastic job designing a netball for her club CD Phoenix. We absolutely love the phoenix and can’t wait to see this ball come to life and be used on court.”
