Bring a friend to an EN programme session for free this Jan

Netball is restarting for 2022, and this is our time to reunite, reconnect and get back out on court to play the game we love.

For the week of 10 January, you can bring a friend for free to selected England Netball programme sessions* (Back to Netball, Walking Netball and Netball Now).

As we all know, netball is a sport for all, a game to be enjoyed and played with friends and family of every age and stage of life no matter your fitness levels or experience.

Maybe your friend, parent or sibling played netball at school or a club, and while they’d love to play again, they worry they’re not good enough. Or maybe you’re a Walking Netballer and know a friend who wants to come along but is concerned about the pace of the game.

Exclusively for the week starting 10 January, anyone can bring a friend along for free to selected EN programmes.

This includes Back to Netball, Walking Netball and Netball Now, providing friends of all netball ability to try a session for no cost!

*Offer applies for selected sessions and places are limited, please contact your coach for further details (contacts can be found via the session finder)

Here’s a reminder of what our tailored programmes are:

Back to Netball

Back to Netball is a fun and friendly re-introduction to the sport. It is aimed at participants of all ages and levels of fitness, with sessions specifically designed to cater for those who have not played for an extended period.

Each session is led by passionate and enthusiastic coaches and covers the basics of the game including passing, footwork and shooting. Sessions finish with a friendly game to put the skills you have learnt into practice.

Walking Netball

Walking Netball is a slower version of the game we all love; it is netball, but at a walking pace.

It has been designed so that anyone can play it regardless of age or fitness level. From those who have dropped out of the sport they love due to serious injury, to those who believed they had hung up their netball trainers many years ago, Walking Netball really is for everyone.

Netball Now

Netball Now is a simple and easy way to play netball. It is not a coached session or a league with points and tables; it is simply a session where you turn up, pay a small fee and play a game of netball!

Anyone who is 16 and over can join in with Netball Now and you do not have to be an affiliated member to take part. During the session, you will be able to try various playing positions and, in some cases, even have a go at umpiring.

Here’s what you need to do to bring a friend along:

  1. Register for your session on ENGage (find your nearest session here)
  2. Contact the coach with your friend’s details
  3. Head to the session together!
