Netball Quad Series

All four of our Netball Quad Series teams are in final preparations for the first day of matches this Saturday, 15 January.

Keeping players, fans and staff safe is paramount and it’s been a huge team effort from all four participating nations, our host broadcaster Sky Sports, the Copper Box Arena and all our partners and contractors to navigate the challenges of COVID-19 and deliver the series safely.

Here’s how we are helping to keep fans, players and staff safe at the Copper Box Arena over the coming days.

Entry to the venue

To attend the Netball Quad Series, fans aged over 18 will need to show their NHS COVID-19 Pass which can be generated using the NHS app (download on Apple or Android). Alternatively, fans can show an email or text confirmation of their negative lateral flow or PCR test obtained on the day of the event (upload your result here).

In addition to the above, England Netball are asking all spectators to play their part in keeping the Netball Family safe by taking and recording a lateral flow test on the day of the event. Full information on the entry protocols can be found here.

Inside the venue

Once inside the arena, fans and staff will be asked to wear face masks at all times unless eating or drinking, or medically exempt. There will be sanitisation stations and regular reminders about hand hygiene throughout the venue.

Fans will also notice that the first two rows of seats behind team benches have been removed. There will be an exclusion zone between the whole court and the crowd (which sadly means no player selfies or autographs!)

Team preparations

Since landing in London, players and staff from each of the four nations have been eating, sleeping and training within their own team bubbles with access to their own on-site medical officers. Throughout the series, players will complete regular PCR and lateral flow testing to ensure that matches can go ahead as safely as possible.

And finally

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has been involved in the series – players, staff, partners, volunteers, our three guest netball national governing bodies in Netball Australia, Netball New Zealand and Netball South Africa for travelling to London to make this series possible, and of course our fans for supporting us in venue and at home.

We can’t wait to see four of the top netball nations in action this weekend at the Copper Box Arena and we hope you will join us in wishing the very best of luck to everyone involved.
