This will be the Warriors’ third appearance at the Commonwealth Games after they made their debut at Glasgow 2014 and then qualified for a second time in 2018.

Their highest finish came in 2014, when they placed seventh after beating home nations rivals Wales.

…facing Northern Ireland: “They play more of a similar style to us so it will be physical, it will be fast and they had some really good passages of play against New Zealand, like taking the ball down the court, so yes definitely another challenge. They’ve got some really great players in the Superleague, they’re growing and growing more players in the Superleague which is really good.”

…the challenges Northern Ireland pose: “The challenges are, they’re very nippy! Caroline O’Hanlon I’ve played with her for years, she’s fit, she’s fast, great change of direction, everything! She’s got it all. We’ve got to really look at them, we’ve got to pin point stuff we want to work on and challenge them on and yeh we’re just going to try and be as ruthless as we can and take it to them. But we are really looking forward to it!”

Captain – Caroline O’Hanlon

Familiar face, Caroline O’Hanlon, knows a thing or two about winning netball on a big stage. O’Hanlon brings a wealth of winning experience, coming off the back of an unbeaten domestic season with Vitality Netball Superleague team Manchester Thunder. Her agility combined with work rate on and off the ball will see her be a threat to the England mid-court.
