Where to watch your Vitality and Future Roses: Netball Super League and Suncorp Super Netball

While the Netball Super League (NSL) is fast approaching the halfway mark, it’s time for the overseas Vitality Roses to start their domestic campaigns as the Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) season begins on Saturday 13 April.

After a stellar 2023 domestic and international season, including helping the Vitality Roses secure a historic silver medal in the Netball World Cup, Fran Williams signed for West Coast Fever on a two-season contract. There she’ll work with former England international Sara Francis-Bayman who is the team’s Assistant Coach.

Williams’ current and former Vitality Roses teammates will become her rivals over in Australia, with Helen Housby chasing a third title with the NSW Swifts.

The defender will also go head-to-head with Eleanor Cardwell, who having won the 2023 Premiership with Adelaide Thunderbirds (and former England Assistant Coach Tania Obst) in her inaugural SSN season, has joined the league’s newest franchise, Melbourne Mavericks.

Also at the Mavericks, and working on her return to court after a pre-season injury, is Sasha Glasgow. The team is under the leadership of England’s Commonwealth Games gold medal-winning Head Coach Tracey Neville who handed Williams her England senior debut back in November 2018.

Former Vitality Roses Jo Harten and Chelsea Pitman are both representing GIANTS Netball.

Manchester Thunder (1st, 21 points) and defending champions Loughborough Lightning (2nd, 21) are tied for points at the top of the NSL table after eight rounds with one goal separating the sides on goal difference.

Severn Stars (3rd, 18) and 2023 finalists London Pulse (4th, 18) make up the top four with Saracens Mavericks (5th, 10) and Cardiff Dragons (6th, 10) the closest challengers.
