The majority of our interviews are held at our Loughborough Head Office. There is accessible parking available and interviews are usually held on the ground or third floor, with lift access available. On occasion, some positions will be interviewed elsewhere, however we ensure accessible parking and access is available. Alternative interview locations will be communicated prior to interview.
England Netball is committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and is keen to address areas of underrepresentation in its workforce and would particularly welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons from the BAME community, disabled people and people from the LGBT+ Community.
Guaranteed Interview Scheme
As part of being a Disability Confident employer we also guarantee to interview anyone with a disability whose application meets the minimum criteria for the post. By ‘minimum criteria’ we mean that you must provide us with evidence in your application form which demonstrates that you generally meet the level of competence required for each competence, as well as meeting any of the qualifications, skills or experience defined as essential in the person specification. England Netball is committed to the employment and career development of disabled people.
What do we mean by disability?
You’re disabled under the Equality Act 2010 if you have a physical or mental impairment that has a ‘substantial’ and ‘long-term’ negative effect on your ability to do normal daily activities.
What ‘substantial’ and ‘long-term’ mean:
- ‘Substantial’ is more than minor or trivial, eg. it takes much longer than it usually would to complete a daily task like getting dressed
- ‘Long-term’ means 12 months or more, eg. a breathing condition that develops as a result of a lung infection
How do I apply?
To be considered under the scheme, disabled applicants must disclose their disability (as defined by the Equality Act 2010) on the Equal Opportunities form and indicate that they wish to apply for the GIS on the application form.
Any false declaration of disability to obtain an interview will subsequently invalidate any offer of a post.
