Top Tips:
General
-
- Pressure should not be placed on players to participate or compete if they are uncomfortable with the risks associated with netball activity.
- If there is an area you feel you’d like to know more about such as risk management, social distancing or COVID-19 specific cleaning procedures you can access free supplementary training from the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) here.
Personal Liability
-
- England Netball’s member insurance policy has a reasonable precautions condition and includes public liability for appointed officers of Registered Organisations, including COVID-19 Officers.
- If all reasonable practicable steps are taken to mitigate the risk of infection through netball, then COVID-19 officers shouldn’t worry about being blamed if there was an outbreak. Reasonable steps include strict adherence to all the guidance documents and training material provided by England Netball.
- If you haven’t already, please ensure you are registered as the COVID-19 Officer on ENgage. This will enable us to send you all future communications related to the accelerated return of netball.
Facilities
-
- Some netball venues are open, some are planning to open and sadly others are closed until further notice. You may therefore be required to move venue to restart netball activity. Your Netball Development Officer will be able to share further information on which venues are open in your local area.
- Check out our Facilities Advocacy Pack for further support if you are experiencing issues accessing suitable venues.
- A Printable Summary of all the recommended COVID-19 Officer Tasks can be found on the COVID-19 Officer Care Package page.
