We anticipate that there will be at least four key steps that all clubs, teams, leagues and netball organisers will be required to complete before they re-commence full netball training and/or competition.
The four key steps are:
Recruit or appoint a COVID-19 Officer
|
This can be an individual person, or particularly for larger clubs and leagues, it might be a group of people take on the role as a COVID-19 Squad.
For a role description and supporting volunteer recruitment documentation click here. England Netball will communicate with and support this new network of crucial volunteers. Clubs must record their lead COVID-19 Officer on ENgage (click here for Engage user guide to do this). We recommend you start this task now. |
Complete a COVID-19 Club Management Plan including risk assessment
|
This will be a key document that will help you fully consider the risks and then plan the real nitty gritty ways in which your club will operate to minimise the risk of COVID-19. It will include everything from how you’ll communicate with your members to how you will manage equipment as well as thinking about use of any venues.
We will provide a template with associated guidance once approval from Government has been received. |
Watch a COVID-19 training video
|
At least 1 person within your club should view the training. We recommend the COVID-19 Officer should, but it could also be useful training for club committee members and volunteers.
This video will be available from early August. |
Ensure your club and it’s members renew their membership of England Netball
|
As all netball clubs are responsible for ensuring their members can return safely it is important that relevant insurance is in place. Our comprehensive programme of insurance can provide protection for members. As a minimum your Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary, Safeguarding Officer, Data Protection Lead, Coaches, Officials and COVID-19 Officer should become members as well as all your players. Membership renewals will open on 3 August 2020. |
