Following an invitation into the Roses Academy November Camp, England Netball has selected Emma Rayner into the Under 17 Roses Academy.
Emma is a current member of the Manchester Thunder U19 NPL squad.
She has been in the North West Pathway in the Regional Academies and the Manchester Thunder Pathway system since she was 13.
She has represented her franchise at various competitions, and represented her club YWCA Bury at England Netball’s U14s and U16s finishing 2nd and 5th respectively.
U17s Head Coach Victoria Burgess said: “Emma is one of the 60 athletes on the DiSE (Diploma in Sporting Excellence) programme at Loughborough College, as part of this programme the athletes take part in technical sessions delivered by the Franchise pathway coaches.
“Emma was observed by myself and Jan Crabtree at the October DiSE camp and invited into our Roses Academy camp in November.
“Emma performed very well in the technical sessions and match play against London Pulse U19s.
“I am looking forward to working with Emma in the Roses Academy in the future.”
