Following the resignation of the England Netball Chair earlier this year the Board has appointed Bridget Blow to the role of Chair as of the 1st May 2023.
Bridget has been a valuable member of the board as Senior Independent Director since her appointment in September 2015 and will undertake the role of Chair until September 2024. She has a wealth of experience as a Non-Executive Director including holding previous roles as Chair of GTP3, Chair of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Deputy Chair of the Coventry Building Society, Chair of Harvard International plc and Non-executive Director of the Bank of England.
As a result of this appointment, Bridget has vacated the role of Senior Independent Director. The board has appointed existing director Annmarie Wallis to fulfil this role until the upcoming September AGM.
England Netball is currently recruiting a number of Independent and Nominated Non-Executive Directors, including a Senior Independent Director, to join the board at the upcoming AGM in September 2023. The appointed Senior Independent Director will lead a recruitment process during early 2024 to find a new long-term Chair to replace Bridget Blow when she steps down from the board in September 2024.
