England will be focused on defending their U21 Europe Netball title later this month when they travel to the Isle of Man for the three-day competition.
Head Coach Sheonah Forbes’ squad will be captained by Molly Hole as they face the Isle of Man at 2 pm on Friday 12 November in the first match of the competition.
The 12-strong young Roses squad have been busy training and refining their skills, most recently at a one-day prep day in Loughborough.
Extremely impressed with the team’s showcase of talent, Forbes said: “This exciting squad representing England is full of determination to showcase netball on the international stage again.
“We aim to retain our title in this event alongside squad members gaining caps by representing their country.
“We are excited to have youth international netball back on court and on screens for fans across the world to enjoy watching our future Roses.”
Molly Hole shared her thoughts ahead of the competition: “We have had limited time together to prepare with only two training sessions but have gelled well as a team and we are looking forward to heading to the Isle of Man for a weekend of competitive fixtures.
“We have worked really hard as a group to be as prepared as possible for our first competition since netball’s return from the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Vice-Captain Hannah Diamond commented: “As a squad, U21 Europe Netball is a great opportunity to gain experience and put ourselves out there against the other countries and for a number of the squad to get their first caps.”
The U21 Europe Netball competition will mark the young Roses’ first international competition since March 2020.
