England Netball are getting ready for two of the biggest events in the 2016 calendar and are inviting some wonderful volunteers to join!
The Vitality Netball Superleague Grand Final will take place in front of a packed Copper Box crowd on Saturday 7th May and Netball Europe will be held in Newcastle the following week from the 12th-15th May.

Vitality Netball Super League Grand Final – May 2016
7th May 2016, Copper Box Arena, London
The Vitality Netball Superleague showpiece event returns to the capital this May!
Be part of the team to help deliver this fantastic event where the top 4 teams battle it out to be crowned 2016 VNSL champions.
We have a number of great roles, can guarantee you a fun filled experience, with a great group of people and even an opportunity to watch some netball.
You will also receive a crew T-Shirt and refreshments during the day.
Closing Date for applications: 15th April
Shift Timings: Approximately 1200 to 2200hrs
Specific timings will vary slightly within this timeframe by role.
Volunteer Roles:
- Ball Patrol
Must be confident and friendly with good ball skills (throwing and catching). Priority will be given to those registered on the Pass On Your Passion scheme and volunteers must be between 14-16 years of age.
- Ball Patrol Co-ordinator
This role is required to organise rotations, breaks and generally supervise the ball patrol team. Volunteers must have experience of supervising under 18’s. Over 18’s only.
- Guard of Honour
To assist with carrying the flags at the beginning of the match. Must be confident and friendly. Priority will be given to those registered on the Pass on Your Passion Scheme and must be between 14-16 years of age.
- Guard of Honour Co-ordinator
This role is required to organise the GOH team, ensuring they are in the correct positions when required. You will work closely with the Sport Pres Team.
- Merchandise/Programme Seller Team Leader
To deploy & rotate the team, ensuring there are sufficient resources in each location to maximise sales and deliver first class customer service.
- Merchandise/Programme Seller Assistant
Supporting with the set up and selling of merchandise & Programmes. Roles will be active prior and post-match as well as during intervals. Should there be demand we may need you to help during some parts of the matches – this cover will be rotated between the team. Over 18’s only.
- Event Crew Team Leader
To take responsibility for the teams completion of various tasks throughout the day. Working closely with Event Management to prioritise activity and support all aspects of the event.
- Event Crew
To assist in the preparation of the facilities, equipment and court area prior to the arrival of the teams and spectators. Over 18’s only, will require some lifting and carrying.
- Ticket Collection Assistant
This role will support front of house at the event, issuing pre ordered tickets, selling tickets to walk up sales, meet and greet spectators and ticket collection. Must be over 16 years of age.
- Accreditation Team
This role involves issuing and collecting accreditation for all workforce and athletes on the venue.
- Concourse Manager
To oversee the concourse area and Fan activities, as well as assisting with deploying volunteers in that area. For this role you will need to be well organised and assertive, able to balance multiple deadlines while ensuring excellent customer service.
- Volunteer Coordinator
To assist the Volunteer Manager with sign in and out, briefing and deploying volunteers and ensuring they are well looked after during the event.
- Media Assistant
To help direct members of the media to their allotted areas and support the EN media team with the delivery of the event.
- Admin Assistant
This role will be required for around 10 hours leading up to the event at England Netball’s Head Office in Hitchin, to assist with general pre-event admin.
1 day between 25th– 29th April to suit you, and 1 day between 3rd– 6th May.

Netball Europe Open Competition – May 2016
12th-15th May 2016, Northumbria University, Newcastle
Join us at Northumbria University in Newcastle for the Open Championships.
The nations taking part in the Championship Section are: England, Northern Ireland, Wales & Scotland.
In the Challenge section we will see Gibraltar, Ireland, Israel, Malta, Switzerland, Grenada & USA compete.
We have a number of great roles, can guarantee you a fun filled experience, with a great group of people and even an opportunity to watch some netball. Y
ou will also receive a crew T-Shirt and refreshments during the day.
Priority will be given to volunteers from the North East Region, but all applications will be considered.

Shift Timings: Approximately 0700 to 2130hrs
Specific timings may vary slightly by role within this timeframe.

- Ball Patrol Team Leader
This role is required to organise rotations, breaks and generally supervise the ball patrol team. Volunteers must have experience of supervising under 18’s. Over 18’s only.
- Athlete Services Team
Registration of teams arrival, confirm event real time with Team Manager, Prepare Ice for Field of Play and changing rooms & ensure athletes receive all they need prior and post-match.
- Accreditation Manager
This role involves issuing and collecting accreditation for all workforce and athletes on the venue.

Supporting with the set up and selling of merchandise & Programmes. Roles will be active prior and post-match as well as during intervals.
