Fast5 draw sees Lightning start title defence against Sirens

Loughborough Lightning will begin the defence of their Fast5 Netball All-Stars Championship title against Strathclyde Sirens in the opening match on 30 October at the Copper Box Arena with tickets available to buy now.

The tournament begins with a double-elimination group stage, with fixtures drawn live on Sky Sports News by Fran Williams of Lightning and Gia Abernethy of Sirens.

Other matches pulled out the bag see Saracens Mavericks pitted against the 2018 Fast5 champions Wasps whilst 2019 Vitality Netball Superleague champions Manchester Thunder have an enticing clash with debutants Leeds Rhinos to begin their tournament. Team Bath will face London Pulse who are also making their first Fast5 Netball All-Stars appearance.

The teams have been submitted with teams being announced on the Fast5 All-Stars social media pages over the coming days with Lightning’s squad the first to be announced and Pulse to be announced later today.

Ellie Rattu of Pulse said: “I am really looking forward to it. We’ve got a fresh and young team. We’re excited to have the opportunity to show Fast5 what we have got. I watched it before, it’s quick and exciting. It’s massive playing on our home, we’re used to the place. We feel like we will have the support. We’re excited to go out together with as a new squad. I think we have a lot of speed and fearlessness in our team.”

Tickets start from only £10 for the day for Under 16s and from only £20 for adults. The Fast5 Netball All-Stars format sees teams compete in a double-elimination group stage before the semi-finals and final on the evening. Featuring 12-minute matches, an all-star 5-point line, and a Golden Buzzer Power Play, the Fast5 Netball All-Stars Championship is an all-action afternoon of non-stop, pulsating netball.

Courtside hospitality starts from only £50 and includes premium courtside seating, a complimentary souvenir programme, a VIP lanyard, and access to a private VIP cash bar one hour before play starts where you’ll be served canapes and a glass of sparkling wine on arrival.
