Sport England have introduced a new Community Asset Fund which aims to take a fresh look at facility development projects and speed up the process for decision making.
Do you have a great idea to grow netball in your area? Well you have the chance to put that great idea into action!
Any organisation with a great idea can apply, take a look below for example:
- Those looking to take over an underused sports facility or one under threat of closure. They might need support to bring a building back into use or need improvements to a recreational space
- Those wanting to expand or improve the sporting experience you offer your customers. They could be looking to improve a changing room or installing new toilets, heating system or social space
- An organisation responding to an emergency or unexpected event that is stopping people from being active. They might need to fix a roof that’s been damaged or repair an area after flood damage
- Any organisation who simply has a great idea for a project. They might want to make improvements to a building or open space that’s clearly needed in the local community
Anyone with a great idea should read the ‘Developing Your Project or Idea’ resource which can be downloaded from the Sport England website here:
