Netball Volunteer Month has its most exciting event of the calendar this Saturday when the Goalden Globe Awards are celebrated in Droitwich Spa.
Volunteers from across the country will all come together under one roof for an evening of glitz and glamour to recognise the outstanding contributions that volunteers make to our sport.
The Goalden Globe Awards is a collective celebration, beginning at a regional level, with various events held over the summer to recognise and reward volunteers and culminating in a glittering national awards evening, which will take place on 17th September.
9 Regional Awards have taken place, with winners from all categories progressing to national panel to determine this years winners.
The categories include:
• Grassroots Coach Award
• Grassroots Officials Award
• Young Volunteer Award
• Outstanding Netball Club Award
• Inclusive Award
• Netball Teachers Award
• Unsung Hero Award
• Mary Bulloch Administrator Award
• Muriel McNally Award
• Rose Award
All this week we’ll be celebrating the nominees and their contributions to our sport – later today you’ll be able to hear all about the first category so keep your eyes peeled for that.
Congratulations to all nominees – the work you do is incredible!
