It is the 25th birthday of the National Lottery in the UK, and we are delighted to be able to be a part of celebrating its support of grassroots sport, including netball.
Since the National Lottery came to the UK in 1994, grassroots sport across the nation has benefited so much from funding that comes from your lottery ticket. Here at England Netball your contribution has helped us provide sport for so many people.
Thanks to our partners, fan support, and those that play The National Lottery we have been able to get thousands of people playing netball across a range of programmes including our very popular Back to Netball and Walking Netball initiatives, plus much more.
From the 100,000 women who play Back to Netball to the 130,000 people that began playing netball or more netball following England’s gold medal success at the Commonwealth Games, these opportunities for them to get on a court are helped made possible because you play The National Lottery.
