Over the Easter break more than 1000 children gathered at Disneyland® Paris for a five-day International Junior Netball Festival.
With over 300 teams taking part in the past two years, it’s rapidly becoming the premier European event in the junior netball calendar!
Their trip included accommodation at Disney’s Davy Crockett Ranch, transport, a three-day ticket to Disneyland® and Walt Disney Studios®, coaching clinics and masterclasses.
There was also a special video message from Vitality Roses Natalie Panagarry and Ella Clark, who demonstrated some fun drills and challenged the netballers to beat their efforts.
The players also got the opportunity to test themselves and their newly-developed skills in a series of highly competitive netball tournaments against teams they wouldn’t usually face back home.
The whirlwind experience was topped off by a special visit from Saracens Mavericks star Jo Trip, Team Bath Netball’s Kim Commane, Surrey Storm’s Suzie Liverseidge and Vitality Rose Ama Agbeze!
All four players took part in a special Q&A session with the young netballers getting the opportunity to grill their favourite stars on how they got into netball and their favourite memories, as well as picking up some top tips.
On the final evening at the festival, everyone was invited to a special dinner and awards ceremony to celebrate the fantastic netball played over the last few days.
The festival once again proved to be a roaring success with both teachers and netballers commenting that they’d like to return next year!
Dates are currently on sale for the Autumn Half Term 2019 Festival departing 26th October, as well as Easter 2020 – departing 5th and 15th April.
