A six-a-side Nets launch night at Willows Sports Centre in Derby has drummed up even more support for the local league.
The event introduced an impressive twenty teams to the new and exciting format of the game and six of those sides have subsequently joined the local leagues in Derby.
There was something for everyone to try, with U18’s, ladies, and mixed games hosted throughout the night.
The launch concluded with a showdown between Willows representative players and England Indoor Netball representatives; both teams stealing a win from the other!
Willows were triumphant in the ladies category and England were victorious in the mixed section.
All players in attendance reported positive feedback throughout the evening with the most frequent comment being that six-a-side Nets is a fast paced and fun-for-all format.
