ParaNetball Championship set to take place in Loughborough

Schools and clubs from across the country are ready and raring for the 2024 ParaNetball Championship. 

The Championship is for athletes with special educational needs and disabilities, including physical, learning and behavioural. 

The school competition will be held on Friday 21 June, as National School Sports Week comes to a close, with the club competition on Saturday 22 June.

This year’s event will take place at the Netball Centre in Loughborough – the training base for both the Vitality Roses and Netball Super League defending champions Loughborough Lightning.  

England Netball have previously hosted ParaNetball Championships in 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023. 

New for 2024, both days will start with a skills session and some fun games for everyone. 

After lunch, the competition will start with matches made up of seven-minute halves.

Teams will play in a round-robin format before being ranked according to their position and final placing matches taking place. Results will be updated here throughout. 

Officials will be on hand to educate and guide people through the game and the rules and to inspire them to continue to engage with the sport. 

Future Roses Celena Appleby-Prince (Fri 21) and Harriet Jones (Sat 22) will also be in attendance to meet all the participants and lead the presentations at the end of each day.
