- Round 7: The Downs 43-48 Essex Open
- Round 8: Essex Open 39-42 Hucclecote
- Round 9: Essex Open 50-44 Clan
- Round 10: Ryland 56-44 Essex Open
It was a mixed month for Essex with two wins and two defeats. A closely fought victory over The Downs was followed by a narrow defeat against leaders Hucclecote. When Essex led 35-34 going into the last quarter it seemed that Essex would become the first team to inflict defeat upon the unbeaten leaders, but they eventually suffered a narrow defeat. A good victory over Clan was followed by defeat against Ryland.
Standout players
Following her absence last season, Michelle Stewart is back to her best with excellent displays against Hucclecote and Ryland.
