Vitality Netball World Cup 2019 bronze medallist Rachel Dunn has re-signed for Wasps Netball for the 2021 Vitality Netball Superleague (VNSL) season.
Dunn has played in the Vitality Netball Superleague since its inception and is set to contest her 16th campaign in 2021.
She already has seven titles to her name, including back-to-back triumphs with Wasps Netball in 2017 and 2018, and is out to regain the trophy with the Midlands outfit.
“Going into my 16th season I think this will be one of the most anticipated and exciting ones yet,” she said.
“After an unprecedented 2020 with many players having not taken to the court in a league match for 11 months, by the time the start of the competition arrives, players will be raring to go.
“Our goal for the season will be to regain our title. With myself and many other founding players still around at Wasps, I am looking forward to seeing what our exciting new additions can offer. Bring on 2021!”
Sharing her delight at re-signing Dunn for the 2021 season, Wasps Netball Head Coach Mel Mansfield said: “First in and last out at training, Rachel is the ultimate athlete and consummate professional.
“The most decorated Vitality Netball Superleague player to date, Rachel knows what it takes to play at the highest level and win games.
“She wants to make sure all those that play and train with her get better too and she is a fantastic character who leads by example.
“Still playing her finest netball, Rachel is the most lethal English shooter in this league and I am so glad she is on my team.
“Rachel will continue to lead our front line this year with some exciting partnerships in attack to look forward to.”
