The refreshed Vitality Goalden Globe Awards, now called the ONE Awards, shine a light on the achievements of individuals on and beyond the court in the nine regions across the country.

In March, the refreshed nomination categories were launched to celebrate the individuals that make a positive impact on the lives of participants through netball.

Regional boards and counties, supported by their local teams of England Netball staff, have dedicated significant energy and effort to ensure these events have come back with bang having not been able to take place since 2019.

We’re incredibly proud and grateful to report that thanks to your nominations, we’ve seen a 143% increase on the previous annual submissions over the past 15 years! This has enabled over 1000 members of the Netball Family to celebrate together in person at the nine celebrations.

The regional winners for each of the 10 categories are detailed below and will now go through to the National Judging Panel, chaired by EN President Joan Mills MBE. Plans are currently being finalised for the national celebration which will see one of the regional winners be awarded the national title in each of the 10 categories in the autumn.

Joan Mills, EN President has attended many of the Regional Events and shared: “It has been such an honour to be invited to the Regional ONE Awards, meeting and recognising the tremendous efforts of volunteers across the country. Without these volunteers there would not be the great reach of offers for players to enjoy, so it has been great to celebrate together and show how much their dedication and efforts are appreciated.”

Phil Owen, Vice-Chair of the North West Regional Management Board and project lead for the NW ONE Awards shared:

“Having organised these celebrations for the past 4 years the One Awards are going from strength to strength! They are a fantastic opportunity to reward and recognise the enormous achievements of individuals who go above and beyond for our netball family. This year we joined forces with Manchester Thunder, and dovetailed the One Awards with their season ending awards….and what a season it has been with Thunder bringing home their fourth title in an unbeaten season. Over 250 people partied well into the night, celebrating all that is great about the Region.”

A big thank you to all the regional and county volunteers who supported with the organisation and delivery of these events alongside their Regional Coordinators and local staff.

Nominations will open in March each year so if you know volunteers, coaches, officials or organisations that have changed your life positively in netball, keep your eyes peeled so you can put them forward to be recognised.

We would like to wish a huge congratulations to all those nominated and good luck to the winners in each region ahead of the national ONE Awards.
