The England U17s completed a clean sweep of wins as they retained their crown and once again lifted the trophy at the Netball Europe U17 Championship.
The young Roses overcame hosts Wales in the gold-medal decider, securing a 37-74 win after a fiercely-contested game.
Head Coach Victoria Burgess opted for the same seven who started England’s opening game of the competition at the Ebbw Vale Sports Centre.
Showing the same composure and togetherness as the previous two days, the young Roses quickly got into their stride and raced into an early 7-1 lead.
Despite opponents Wales growing into the game, it was still England who had the upper hand and a 10-goal advantage at the end of the opening quarter (8-18).
Both sides were leaving everything out on court in the battle to be crowned champions but, roared on by friends and family in the crowd, it was the young Roses who led 18-35 at half time.
With Vitality Roses Head Coach Jess Thirlby watching on in the crowd, all 12 players once again got on court in a strong team performance.
The U17s pushed on through the third and fourth quarters, adding to their tally, increasing their cushion over the opposition and maintaining their unbeaten run during the competition.
A huge thank you to all the players, coaches, staff, officials, volunteers and supporters for a brilliant Netball Europe U17 Championship.
