Isla and her netball post.

Over the last week, people have been using social media as a tool to get their netball fix.

The Netball Family have found innovative ways to stay connected during this time through shooting challenges, home workout tips and sharing positive stories online.

We have pulled together the best bits shared on social media from the last seven days.

Cardwell’s trick shot challenge

Netball Twitter became inundated with reactions to Eleanor Cardwell’s trick shot challenge on Wednesday afternoon.

Dozens of replies to the two challenges set out by the Vitality Rose saw a range of different long range shots from trampolines, balconies and more.

England Nets’ Caroline Buckland shared a clip of her 65-year-old father sinking a long-range, no look shot from behind his head.

Isla’s first post

Eight-year-old wordsmith and Bee Netballer Isla had her poem shared on social media earlier this week which caught the eye of England Netball and partners Harrod Sport.

In the poem, Isla mentions that she wished she would have her very own netball post by the summer. With some quick-thinking, that dream became a reality.

On Saturday, Vitality Netball Nations Cup captain Natalie Haythornthwaite read out the poem and Isla was surprised with her very first netball post.

Vitality Roses home HIIT workouts

The Vitality Roses squad all logged into Zoom on Friday to take part in a video HIIT session from the comfort of their own homes.

The likes of Head Coach Jess Thirlby, Fran Williams, Eleanor Cardwell, Beth Cobden and more took part in the training session.

#StayAtHomeChallenge

One of the biggest trends that has derived from self-isolation is the #StayAtHomeChallenge where one attempts to do as many kick-ups with a toilet roll as you can before it away and nominating someone else to take on the challenge.

Vitality Rose Gabby Marshall took on the challenge and added a netball twist, juggling two toilet rolls before finishing.

Make sure to return next week to see a comprehensive round-up of the most exciting netball content from the last week!
