Five Vitality Roses will take part in a chatity match for bushire relief.

A total of five Vitality Roses will be taking part in a bushfire relief charity match in Australia this weekend.

The Australian Diamonds will take on a Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) All-Stars side at Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney, on Sunday 1 March to raise money for those impacted by the nation’s bushfire crisis.

Twenty-eight of the world’s best netballers across two star-studded squads will be taking to court including five famous England internationals.

Jo Harten, Nat Haythornthwaite, Helen Housby, Geva Mentor and Chelsea Pitman will all make an appearance in front of a bumper crowd.

Each Vitality Rose currently plays their netball in the Suncorp Super Netball league with Harten captaining GIANTS Netball, Haythornthwaite and Housby playing for NSW Swifts, Mentor co-captaining Collingwood Magpies, and Pitman co-captaining Adelaide Thunderbirds.

They will be joined by the likes of captain Laura Langman, goal shooter Jhaniele Fowler, Trinidadian Sam Wallace, and Player of the 2019 Vitality Netball World Cup Karla Pretorius among others.

The squad of 14 will take on an Australian Diamonds side which includes the likes of captain Caitlin Bassett, Liz Watson, Sarah Klau, Gretel Tippett and will be led by Head Coach Lisa Alexander.

All-Stars co-coach Briony Akle told SSN: “This really is a once in a lifetime game and fans should be so excited to see some of the greatest players the sport has ever seen all in the one team.”

Those wishing to see our five Vitality Roses in action will be able to live-stream the game via the Netball Live App on your choice of device with the match starting at 2am GMT.

All funds raised will be donated to a Natural Disaster Relief Fund with the purpose of supporting netball-specific bushfire relief and recovery projects.
