One of the most nerve-inducing weekends of netball returns this weekend as 20 teams head to Nottingham to face the gauntlet of the 2016/17 Premier League Play-Offs.
Hoping to keep their place in Premier League 1 will be The Downs. A downturn fortunes saw the team drop from 3rd place last season to 8th this year and they must now fight to secure their place in the top division.
It will be a familiar position for Leeds Athletic as they return to Play-Offs for the second season in a row.
Hoping to replace them in Premier League 1 will be Premier Romans and Clan.
Romans where one point away from relegation in 2015/16 and after a remarkable turnaround they now have the chance to reach the summit of the Premier League.
If momentum counts for anything, Clan will fancy their chances this weekend. A run of seven straight wins propelled up to third in the table and a shot at glory in the Play-Offs.
Having won Premier League 3 last year, Linden have struggled in the second division and now have a fight to retain their status in Premier League 2.
Kent County join them in the scrap to retain their place while Poole challenge for back to back promotions and Grangetown attempt to return to Premier League 2 at the first attempt having suffered relegation in 2015/16.
Three places are up for grabs in Premier League 3 with Charnwood, Thoroughbreds and Dominoes all battling to keep their position in the league.
Nine regional winners will join them in Nottingham as Hertford Hornets (East), TFC (East Mids), Essex Open (London & South-East), Riverside (North-East), Warrington (North-West), Eagles (South), Aquarians (South-West), Dudley Leisure (West Mids), Hull Chevrons (Yorks & Humberside)
