Contributing to the coaching, training and development of the netball programme at Hartpury, you will be joining one of the UK’s top college based elite sport environments.

You will be appointed as the technical defence coach for the Netball Academy alongside being the
Junior 1st Netball Assistant Coach in both home and away league fixtures including Regional and National Level competitions. You will also be required to complete weekly video analysis sessions using HUDL to deliver to the Netball athletes.

With an understanding of education, you will be able to relate to the student athletes and assist them in their development through Hartpury. You will be highly motivated, innovative and have the ability to drive and promote excellence within the netball programme through working closely with the netball academy manager. You will have a proven track record of playing netball and preferably working towards level 2 coaching or higher qualification.

Main Purpose of the Job
South Bucks Junior Netball Academy (SBJNA) is looking for a UKCC Level 2 Netball Coach to coach to coach junior netballers in school years 3-8 for the 2017/18 academic school year.

You would be expected to have a good understanding of netball skills and tactics and a proven track record of successful coaching. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, enjoy working with children and will be driven to help provide suitable coaching for a group of mixed abilities netballers.
The successful candidate will need to be First Aid qualified and will be require a DBS check.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• To coach and improve the skills of various age groups and ability
• To ensure coaching is suitable for mixed abilities
• To keep accurate register of attendance for all participants attending the sessions and send completed register to SBJNA after each session.
• To make sure sessions are interactive and fun for all participants.
• Attend one-to-one meetings as required with SBJNA Management Team perhaps by phone if convenient.
• To follow the code of conduct as outlined by SBJNA .

• To represent SBJNA in a positive, proactive, and professional manner.
• To abide by SBJNA policies and procedures at all times
• To priorities the needs, overall wellbeing, safety and safeguarding issues of all children in your care at all times.
