Netball Coach

Full time, term time, one year fixed term post

While netball coaching experience would be welcomed for this role, it’s not essential. What matters is that you’re a seasoned and skilled player with a genuine passion for the sport.

As well as coaching and guiding pupils through games and practice sessions, your role will include umpiring netball fixtures and helping to run successful sports tours throughout the year. You will also provide residential cover for girls in the boarding areas, carrying out regular evening duties as required and weekend duties as agreed.

Strong communication, administrative and organisational skills are important, combined with a commitment to inclusivity and to bringing out the best in every pupil, whatever their level of ability.

Loughborough Lightning Pathway Head Coach

Package Salary will be on Operational Services Grade 5 (£23,879 – £28,452 pro rata, per annum), subject to annual pay award and starting salary to be confirmed on offer of appointment.

This position is part time (29.6 hours per week) and fixed term for 2 years in the first instance.

Loughborough Lightning is looking for a committed, passionate and innovative coach to head up our U21s and BUCS 1s teams and oversee the pathway.
Working with the Lightning VNSL coaching team this is an exciting opportunity to develop the next generation of SuperLeague netball players as part of a forward thinking and growing franchise. You will also be part of the England Netball CPD programme.

You will need to have experience of developing talented young players, be keen to learn and challenge your practice in a unique multi-sport performance environment.

Male Netball Coach


Salary/mth: IRO £3,000- mth tax free

Minimum 5- years post qualification work experience & with at least UKCC Level 2 Coach status. Other popular Sports Coaching skills are welcomed such as Soccer, Basketball & other team sports. Previous successful experience in arranging & implementing Netball leagues & tournaments is essential to total community of 7,000+ residents & a potential participation audience of 3,000- (2,000 of whom are children upto 18- years of age).

Any additional European language skills are welcomed to communicate well with the international community altho’ everyone speaks English. Overall, your customer care skills will need to be of the highest standards to satisfy a very demanding community.
